In Responce To: Do you think intellectual rights and actual products are just as important? Do you think it is right to use someone elses idea without them knowing or giving them any credit for it? - Jackie Bunker

Do you think intellectual rights and actual products are just as important? Do you think it is right to use someone else's idea without them knowing or giving them any credit for it?

The intellectual rights are important for all companies, how is one company suppose to get a competitive advantage from their hard work if it can just be stolen? I completely agree that the creator has not only the right to get credit for it but also whether or not the product can be mimicked.

Why you should care about the iPhone location-tracking issue - CNN

Why you should care about the iPhone location-tracking issue

The article duscusses the issues involving the permanent data storage. The storage area in your phone stores your location up to 10 months. The device can be then be plugged into a geographical representation software and you can see the results above. What does this mean? Advertisers can track were we spend our time and thus target us accordingly.

How do you feel about the permanent data storage capabilities and their obvious ability to help advertisers?

Microsoft teams with Toyota to power smart cars

http://money.cnn.com/2011/04/06/technology/microsoft_toyota/index.htm

On Wednesday Microsoft and Toyota teamed up to create an advanced digital information and communication system. The system will cost up toward 12 Million but unlike competitors (OnStar) Toyota's new system will be unique; The system is for electric and plug-in hybrid cars. The cars will also charge in an eco friendly manner which will be most cost efficient for the user and reduces the need for fossil fuel. Do you feel that more car companies need to focus their attention on hybrid cars?

Also how do you feel Toyota or Microsoft will be effected due to this partnership?

In Responce To: Many Discounts, Few Deals - Jackie Bunker

Do you think you are ever fooled by discounts or BOGO prices? Do you ever think that the deals are actually legitimate and not all sales are trying to "trick" us?

I am sure I have been fooled by "Sale" prices before. I work at a retail sports store and some  the so called sales are ludicrous. Most large items; Treadmills, elliptical, etc have a MSRP Price which is completely irrelevant. We well a machine MSRP Priced at 1999.99 for a price of 999.99; A THOUSAND DOLLAR SAVINGS!!!. Well that's what they say but the mark up on the machine is still extremely high.

Sad, but true.

Responce to "Why are sports with tons of time for advertising the most popular in America?" by John Arena

The most popular sports can be mot profitable and more or less "can" have that much advertising. What I mean is the viewers want to see the sport and if it takes watching advertisements, well most wouldn't mind. As long as here is money to be made there will be advertisements.

One image comes to mind from the movie Idiocracy.

Could advertising ever get this bad?

Field of Dreams: Ballpark upgrades

http://www.cnn.com/2011/TECH/innovation/03/31/ballparks.unveil.tech.updates.wired/index.html

The article gives quick descriptions of ballpark upgrades but what I would like to focus on is the ten year $285,000,000,000 renovation of 99 year old Fenway Park.

Notice how many new advertisements there are and how much larger they are from 2001 to 2011.

Do you feel this is going to continue going into the future?
